A Thousand Years in a Scroll
Unroll one scroll, walk through a thousand years
Classroom demo · LiveOpen A Thousand Years in a Scroll
WhyWhy I made it
How a scroll is opened, read and stored is hard to remember from a lecture alone
I wanted to turn that knowledge into a class you do with your hands
WhatWhat it became
A 26-minute interactive class for beginners, where eight acts lead into small games for opening, reading, labelling and shelving scrolls
The 3D scroll can be dragged and turned, with a flat fallback when 3D is unavailable
Neither the art scenes nor the teaching categories pretend to be historical objects
RoleMy part
Made solo: from the idea, research and design to building and launching, I did all of it myself with AI
ToolsTech and media
